Thank you for your interest in becoming a volunteer at Fox Chase Cancer Center. It's great to see your interest in supporting such an important cause. To get started, please follow the steps outlined below:

1. Complete the Application: Fill out the volunteer application form provided by Fox Chase Cancer Center. Make sure to provide accurate and complete information about yourself.References: These references will play a vital role in your application. Please provide their email* addresses and remind them to respond quickly. *Email is the preferred contact.If your reference does not have email, please contact our office before completing your application.
2. Orientation: Once your application is reviewed and references are received, you will be invited to the next scheduled orientation. Attend this orientation session to learn more about the center's mission and volunteer expectations.
3. Interview: After the orientation, you will be invited to schedule an interview. During the interview, you will discuss your availability, talents, experience, and goals with the Director of Volunteers. Open volunteer assignments will also be discussed during this interview.
4. Background Check: If accepted, you will be asked to complete a background check as a part of the onboarding process.
5. Health Screenings: You will be asked to complete the required health screenings before starting your volunteer assignment. These screenings are important to ensure the safety and well-being of patients, visitors, and staff.
If you have already been told that you have a volunteer placement, please provide additional information regarding the lab that has accepted you, the lab contact name, and your start date. In such cases, you won't need to interview with the Director of Volunteers, but you will still need to attend the orientation and fulfill the health screening and other onboarding requirements.
